I'm curious about it, but these things always work better in their demos than they actually do in real life. Plus always the biggest issue with new technology like this is whether producers can find any decent applications for their games. The only good Wii games really were the ones their first party games. Pretty much everybody else did a god awful job at making games for the Wii.
Can't see this taking off at all. Real gamers want a controller in their hands.
xbox 360 users typically play first person shooters, unless they can offer this for cheap like the Wii, this will never become the new wave in gaming.
Microsoft should stick to making the new phone instead of trying to improve on the Wii.
The makers of Red Steel had a good point about Natal. Looks cool, but if I'm a game developer how do I make the character move? Without a controller the genres of first person shooters and platformers are pretty much omitted. Any game with movement I just don't see working.
Further there is the issue of accuracy. I don't see this thing working any better than a controller for that reason.
The media control stuff is pretty cool, but my concern would be it reading body movements that I don't want it to read.
My prediction is it'll feel much like the wii. Incredible at first, you'll want one so bad and then within 3 months you don't use it at all. There's just something about buttons.
This demo from Jimmy Fallon last year was hit and miss for me. The ball game looked pretty cool, but the driving looked obnoxious.
It's not looking as accurate as I wanted it to be and while I thought it would be cool to use a real hockey stick for the skill stick NHL 11 or something...how would you move? You definitely still need buttons. And nothing will beat the G25 for use in racing games.

lol at Sony making fun of Microsoft. I think their motion controller is stupid too, but at least there is a controller rather than some dumb camera. Always good to see companies rip on each other, not to mention that the Sony guy is totally awesome.
Way to ambitious, especially for a late 2010 release, with a lot of the features that will work being totally pointless. Who wants to wave their hands through the air to pick a movie?
A lot of the other features simply won't work as advertised.
This is Microsoft pulling a Sega. The beginning of the end for them in platform I think.

How do you figure? They've got a successful system with a bunch of highly prized exclusives, I highly doubt appealing to an offset of casual people is going to be the demise of a system.
Natal could fall flat on it's face, but no way the #2 console drops out because of it. RROD is a huge problem, but they have a curiously high degree of brand loyalty with their customers. Many seem to be on their 4th or 5th console and don't see having to send it in as a big inconvenience. Hell, many commend microsoft on handling the situation so well. Boggles my mind sometimes.
I think some of the games might have potential, but that driving game does not look fun at all. Part of the fun of playing racing games is to physically feel the wheel and shift knob. What's so fun about pretending their's a wheel? Not to mention, it'll just get super tiring after awhile since your hand isn't resting on anything.

I know, I'd rather use the wheel than air. Not to mention the sole reason why I got into gaming was so I could virtually undue lug nuts on a tire. STUPID
So Kinnect goes on sale tonight. Anyone getting this? I must say, I'm still iffy on how successful this thing can be. I think rather than for gaming, it might be a great tool for business presentations and class lectures. Maybe that's MS's ultimate goal, who knows. But for gaming, I don't think this appeals to me.
No interest for me as of right now. I couldn't see gaming with this. I like the voice command stuff, but I'm not going to buy this just for that reason.
