Anyone ever have this....for me I was checking out the new Anberlin cd and there are some really good songs like we owe this to ourselves (sportsnet uses this between commercials), depraved, all we have and a few others. The song that didn't fit was To the wolves. It was pour some sugar on me bad, insultingly bad the chanting and horrible lyrics are off the chart. Can't even listen to the album from start to finish as this song is lingering part way through. Any other albums to avoid for "THAT SONG."
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Spoonman by Soundgarden is so embarrassing and awful I can't believe it was made. I like a ton of Soundgarden stuff, but Spoonman has tainted them forever for me.

The only thing that makes Guns and Roses even worse is Axl Rose. Maybe he can spend his Chinese Democracy money on more liposuction, face surgery and KFC buckets.

Okay, I'll try to open my mind a bit. Is it literally about a man who plays the spoons or is there some deeper meaning I'm not getting?
Do you enjoy the spoon solo? Do you wish more bands would incorporate spoons in their music? Do you like the "jammers" the spoon man is wearing in the video?
Not trying to be a dick...just wondering what you like about the song and if I should be coming at it from a different angle. I've hated that song for so long it's actually become a bit of a problem for me. Like if I hear it or think about it, I get angry something so awful exists.
REM wrote some great songs : night swimming, great beyond etc. but why did they have to write shiny happy people. Not just the lyrics either the way it sounds is nauseating.
