Just as SGU starts to become amazing, it is CANCELED
Yep. The actors themselves were told via twitter.
The final 10 episodes of season 2, will be the last ones.
We finally learn of the Destiny's mission, and they finally get access to the bridge, and it gets canceled. The storyline was looking to become more intriguing than any other sci-fi series just as they decide to cancel it.

I know it sucks, it really does, the show was just starting to find its legs. Things were really starting to pick up with a coherent story arc, characters starting be less stupid and less infighting. Show would have started attracting more viewers if it had been allowed to play out.
Too bad, after the campy half dud that was SGA and SGU, it looks like we won't have any stargate for years to come if ever again.

I was really enjoying the show. Interesting, but slightly unoriginal storyline, with some pretty good character development.
Dammit!

Yeah, it's sad - we had a really cool opportunity to hang with cast and crew a while back. Really nice people and amazingly talented team that puts that show/series together.

What is the chuck treatment? The show hasn't gotten cancelled before has it? Family guy I remember.
Show getting revived after it gets cancelled will be a long shot. Firefly with their insane amount of rabid fans couldn't get it to happen, what's the chance SGU will?

Chuck was due to be cancelled last season?, but they changed their minds towards the end of the season. I remember the same thing when Jericho was cancelled after the first season, fan support caused them to bring it back for one more season.

Station they air on for starters. The SG series having a larger following won't hurt it either. Fact is, the show was just starting to get good. It seems premature to kill it and Caprica, I'd have axed the one that looked like it wasn't going any where and kept the one that was moving forward.
