Default building a rink in the backyard

im building a rink, im not using any boards but ive managed to pile the snow up pretty high, creating a pretty high boarder and a decent sized outline.

does anyone have any tricks?

ive been packing the snow by rolling an old 50L drum back across making sure the snow surface is packed

everyone ive talked to says repeat the freezing, over, and over again to have your best chance at getting good quality ice

anyone else have any experience or tips?

thanks in advance
