Default Things To Do In Calgary This Long Weekend

Long weekend coming up for most, sort of.

Some have Thursday off, some have Friday. A lucky few even have both.

Have some company coming into town for an extended long weekend and wondering if there is anything exciting happening around town this upcoming weekend.

Banff trip will be made. Possibly the zoo as well. Flames are out of town. Hitmen are kicking around but only play Thursday (Sunday isn't an option).

Any wicked concerts or just some fun things that need to be done this weekend?

No Chicken on the Way.

The concert schedule looks a bit thin (even in Banff), but if you're into the blues-soul stuff, Ruthie Foster is playing at the Jack Singer. People who like that genre would think that show would be worth seeing.

Woodhands is also playing on Friday night at Broken City. Depends on what your company likes, but if it includes synth-electro-pop, you will not regret taking them to that show.

This. You'll be surprised how much noise two dudes can make.
