Default Sod Supplier Recommendations?

Anyone have any suggestions as to the best place to order sod through?

Blue Grass Nursery
Chinook Sod Farms
Manderley Turfgrass

Those three seem to be the big ones. Need around 1200 sq ft of it delivered.

All fairly equal, or any to definitely stay away from? Thanks guys.

When I worked in Irrigation, we used to always use one on 52nd. Terra Turf or Mandelay or something... was fine. Easy to order etc.

I'm using Spruce it Up on MacLeod in the south for my house this week because we got a gift card when building down in the south. I'll let you know how they worked out for me.

What area in the city are you having it delivered to?

A friend of mine just went through bluegrass. He was happy with them.

We used Spruce it up about 4 weeks ago. Got some really nice quality bluegrass.

I bought through Terra Turf last time. They were cheaper but the grass was excellent, mostly fescue with less KBG.

The only one I don't really like is Eagle Lake because they cut the sod very thin. On the other hand it also makes them way easier to work with.

We've used both bluegrass and Manderley and both were really good quality.

Johnson Sod Sales is what I used a few years back and was very happy with the product. I believe they are out of Okotoks.

As Komskies said, we bought ours through Spruce It Up but they use Blue Grass. Seemed to be good stuff.

I believe sod at Spruce it up comes from Eagle Lake Turf farms near Strathmore. I used them years ago and had great grass. And if you don't get enough you can go pick up extras at Spruce it Up since its the same stuff.

http://www.eaglelaketurf.com

I'll be using them again this year.

i have purchased sod at manderly several times - best sod purchase ever (note my basis of comparasion is limited though).

i seemed to recall that most places were similarly priced.

1 pallet through Spruce it up w/ delivery $680
2 pallets - $612
