No, that probably isn't what would jump into my head.. but you know... it jumped into their heads... so whatever.

Is it ######ed up? Ya, it sure is. But what the loser did is sick so he probably deserves that and I don't feel bad about it.

I agree he is a pedophile or at least i would imagine that he is close to being one and as a result I don't feel sorry for him, but he is ruined for buba in prison now.

I hate to say it, but there's a fine line between retribution that most people would nod and wink at, and outright murder and depraved indifference to life.

You might be able to argue that for 5 minutes after discovering this peeping tom you let loose unaware of your actions, but for 60 minutes and using tree branches as probes you cross that line that even a Jury would lose sympathy.

I suppose though that the hour long beating (hey, let's tape it!) was a real benefit for the 5 year old girl whom I assume witnessed this whole thing (savage beatings outside the window can get noisy) and I'm sure it was very beneficial to the 15 year old who took part. Mom going to the cooler for 5-10 is a bit of a problem for the little girl though, I'm sure.

These people have no doubt screwed up the poor girl's life more than being spied upon in her sleep ever would have. People who have sexual crimes against them (especially children) are likely to feel a sense of guilt and responsibility. All I can think of is that if the girl saw this, as Rogue suggested, she probably realized that it was about her, and could have felt a sense that she was responsible for the whole thing. And now she has to deal with her mother and aunt likely being imprisoned--something else she could end up feeling guilty for. As much as it might seem like a wimpy thing to do, scaring the guy off and calling the police would probably be the best action, in that there is no reason for the girl to ever know about it, and it won't have an overall negative effect on her childhood or her life as a whole. I seriously hope the girl didn't see the beating.

Reading through this thread I'm getting flashbacks of "American Me"....not pretty.

If I caught a dude doing that in front of my kids window (assuming of course I had kids) he would probably get the beating of his life. Said beating probably wouldn't include the sodomization of his life, though. I think that's taking things a little too far.

So what's more traumatic for a 5 yr old: old man getting off in front of your window, or old man getting off in front of your window followed by old man getting tree branch forced into his nether regions?
