And Boom goes the dynamite. The Pens are handed their first loss.
3 Stars
1 - Martin Erat (TMP)
2 - Peter Regin (TMP)
3 - Jose Theodore (TMP)
It was a solid effort all around. The youngsters in the Tampa line up did not seem to be in awe of the Penguin stars.

Hard fought win for the team, especially with the injuries.

Jackets, and especially Backstrom, are struggling but who can blame the players who keep seeing new faces every time there is a game.
It's time to settle down and work with what we have to try and get some wins.
Backstrom is 1-4 so far this season and the team still struggles to score goals.

As anticipated, Vancouver took advantage of my depleted roster.
On another note, this is getting to be an issue, another injury. I don't want to sound like a whiner but 5 injuries in 6 games and all of the injuries are for 1 week or more, 2 months and 3 months in a couple situation.
Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? I've tried not to play too physical or play anyone too many minutes to try and counter this issue. I would appreciate some advice because my CPHL team now looks like my AHL team and I keep having to sign players to contracts so the watchdog disappears and when my guys are all healthy (knock on wood) I'm going to have to release players because I will be over the roster limit and I have no cap to release players with, I'll have to buy cap.

I'm in the same boat with a few players out. There's only two teams that have injury problems, mine and yours. It happens. You're just one of the lucky ones.

I keep thinking the trend can't possibly continue and yet it does. It's no big deal, I'll figure it out but I might not have a roster soon.

Yes sir. In that example I was talking about my own because they are a couple of key players. However, I just looked at your injuries...

I was just giving you a hard time, didn't mean anything by it. Solid win btw.

Can't believe my farm team lost to ANY kind of team associated with the Nashville Organization. This is an embarrassment.

A loss to the Habs was inevitable I guess, didn't think I'd beat them again. We did manage to out shoot them but just couldn't get enough past Miller.

Well I'm pretty glad to see the Habs win the game, it's good to go out on a strong note right?
I mixed up the lines and it seemed to work quite well...so to the new GM, don't change the lines!

Wasn't pretty, but we had to win that game no matter what. And we need to do the same in the next game against the Jackets. If we do, we'll be 3-4-1 and in much less trouble in the standings.

I was scared of this game and had a feeling that we would be handed our first loss. Riding a five game win streak against a rebuilding team is always a recipe for disaster. Hopefully we can bounce back with a win and avoid any early slides after teh strong start.

Hard fought win in a close one goal game vs the Ducks.
Jason Garrison gets a hand injury. I guess if any one was to get hurt let it be Garrison.
