Delicacies
In the spirit of the food threads...
What is your favorite food item that is considered a Delicacy? I don't know about you but sometimes when trying these desirious food items I can't fathom for the life of me why people like them so much...
Although I do like caviar...

Sasquatch steak grilled over moon rocks. Its a little expensive but sooooo worth it.
I've always liked the idea of an endangered species restaurant where you can charge thousands of dollars to eat an animal before its gone.

I've always wanted to try penguin.
I figure they're so cute, they must be delicious.

Not sure if this counts as a delicacy, but I had chicken feet once at Dim Sum. Never had it before but it was super delicious.

I don't think stuff that typically winds in the garbage (or hot dogs) qualifies as a "delicacy". But Mama Impaler is a big fan too. Me not so much.

This. I am convinced that the more endangered an animal is, the more delicious it would taste.

Yeah, beef carpaccio is insane. Anyone know of any local places that have beef carpaccio? I've thought of trying to make my own.
Interesting note, the dish was invented at the same person who invented the Bellini: Arrigio Cippriani. Apparently he named his dishes and drinks after the Italian painters that colours reminded him of.
