The calgary tower for the ambiance. Reserve at least 30 min before sunset for the best views.

I'm a big fan of WestCalgary in Downtown. There's not a lot that I drive in from Airdrie for, especially into Downtown. But WestCalgary has awesome food, highly reccomend the mashed potatoes!

Just look at the current restaurant thread and the Banff thread - it's all in there.

I saw the title "Places to go for anniversary."
My suggestion would be back door.
"It's only once a year, honey!"

We went to Le Beaujolais in Banff last year and did the tasting menu with wine pairings - it was really good (but pretty pricey).

There's a thread on the first page called "Favorite Restaurants". You didn't find this in your 20 minute search?

How about something truly special? There is a couples-only swingers club in Calgary... Nothing says "Happy Anniversary!" like swapping...

perhaps it is me who is out to lunch here - but to me you are kind of in a tweener price range - you are budgeting for a little more than montanas (which by the way has delicious ribs) but not quite enough for the keg (assuming you are going to have a drink or three).
i should ntoe that i am not advocating that you spend more or less......
