Tailgating is different in every city, but unless you're really good at making freinds quickly I don't know that I'd expect to "go in and eat and drink for free". You're probably going to have to bring some booze of your own, although people seem pretty generous with food. Check the website of the home team to see the policies on what you can bring and any designated areas for tailgating.

Disregard all of this if you are an attractive female.

If you have a parking pass, you can go park your car and tailgate, but in Glendale they have a HUGE area where most of the season ticket holders and others set up and it's just like one big party! We didn't go early enough to get a spot, but don't expect anyone to give up part of their tailgating food. But they do setup TVs with sattelite and everything.

Fun times!!

I went to the Colts vs. Cards Sunday nighter last year in Arizona and the tail gate parties were awesome!!! We brought a 30 pack and jumped from tailgate to tailgate. It was hit or miss with each tailgate. Some welcomed us with open arms, and others we took the hint and moved on to the next. I would have to say majority of them welcomed us though, some with food and booze as well. That being said I wouldnt go down there expecting a free ride. As for booze on in the parking lots they allow it. They even have big dumpsters for empties before you enter the stadium (ive never seen so many empties in my life).

Good to hear that the tailgating has improved for Cardinals fans with the new stadium. When they were at Sun Devil Stadium it was non existent.

Arrowhead in Kansas City is an awesome tailgating experience. People tailgate every where in the massive parking lot at the Harry S Truman Sports Complex (Arrowhead Stadium and Kaufman Stadium). Lots of fans have customized vehicles set up for tailgating like vans and buses. Everyone BBQ's, in fact you can hardly see the flags at the top of the stadium from all the smoke made by the grills.
