Default More free glasses from Clearly Contacts

On October 19th, 10000 free pairs of glasses for all of Canada.

COUPONCODE: 10000FREE only on Oct 19th.

If you've gotten a freebie pair before, apparently you're no longer eligible.

Does this promotion get used up pretty quick? Do I have to literally sit in front of my computer at 12:00am on Tuesday morning and click checkout when it rolls to 12:01am?

The 2 pairs of glasses I was interested in and waiting for one of these promos are no longer listed on the site.

How do they stay in business, every time I turn around it seems they are giving away glasses. Either they are going to put themselves out of business of the eye glass store is charging WAY to much. I know they change a lot over what they pay for them but still.

The amount of people I personally drove to their website as a result of me getting free glasses is absurd. Also, I doubt I will ever buy a pair of glasses anywhere else as long as they are in business.

Even without the "free' aspect, once you spend a couple hours on their website picking out glasses you realize that paying $200 for frames, and then adding lenses on top of that is absurd.

The average price of glasses there is between $40 and $80 + $13 shipping, including both frames, lenses, case, cloth and little screw driver deal. The worst thing is if you have a funky face you might need to go pay a few bucks at a glasses shop to get them adjusted.

Oh come on man, I need a main pair badly. The cheapies I have are on deaths door and I am left wearing my contacts all the time.

I get $200 a year from my work medical plan, but that gets used up pretty quick with my contacts.

Mmm.... I have the same $200 per year. So I end up paying for mine partially out of pocket because $200 is peanuts for contacts.

So I'm looking at clearlycontacts for the brand my doctor recommended:
http://www.clearlycontacts.ca/contac...prod91399.html
$35 per box

Same contacts at contactsexpress:
http://www.contactsexpress.ca/contac...vue-Oasys.html
$29 per box

So if I need about 10 boxes per year, that's a savings of about $60. But clearlycontacts guarantees the lowest price, so I think I am missing something.

BTW - the doctor AND Johnson & Johnson recommend switching the lenses ever 2 weeks. I have been following that and been told I am foolish... the doctor expects that I'll buy the lenses from him so he's making money off the "every 2 weeks" thing, as is J&J. I've been told that some use the bi-weekly lenses for a month.

I think this is the pair I'm going to be jumping at when the free sale starts. Got my prescription today.

My optometrist told me I could do that, since I split time between glasses and contacts.

^ffffuu I hate to do this because I don't want the competition...but 10,000 is a lot so I think we'll be OK

Tuesday, 12:01am is tonight. So after you watch the election results, hop on your computer and get your free glasses.

and if I don't get a free pair I'm going to go "curb your enthusiasm" on this group and never do a nice thing again.

Anybody know what time zone it is talking about?

Our giveaway starts at 12:01am in each time zone. We
have staggered our distribution of glasses according to the time in
each of Canada’s time zones. To ensure fairness, an equal proportion of glasses
will be available to eligible people across the country in different
time zones. We have divided the number of glasses available in the
giveaway based on the number of time zones & the populations in those
times zones.
Got that from their Facebook status. Guess they missed that one in their FAQ, lol - good question.
