Ok so ...was this infact the dumbest thing a coach has ever said or is it being too sensitive to think that?

Other than that redonkulas comment, Dooley is really good for UT. It will take some time for him to get back but at least you wont have to worry about Lame Kitten and his pending ban hammer from bowl games.

With what Pearl did and Kiffen was on track UT's athletic department would be in a world of hurt.

I actually don't have a problem with it. Here are my WWII reference no-nos:
anything involving the Jews or concentration camps, unless the person telling it is Jewish.
comparing someone else to Hitler
comparing one's self to Hitler in a positive way
anything that dismisses the moral blame of Germany's actions in WWII

Other than that, most things are fair game. Jokes about France's military ineptitude? OK. Jokes making fun of German marches, Hitler's moustache, etc.? No problem.
What he's doing here is basically saying, the Germans were dumb, the Americans were smart. Right now we're playing like the Germans, we need to play like the Americans. I don't really see a problem with that.

Yeah...not sure what is offensive about that either.

his team is outgunned and looking elsewhere for help and it aint coming...much like the Germans during those beach invasions. At least thats how I am understanding it.
