Wanted- Leaves (SE Calgary)

Yes I know- strange request. I'm in a new neighbourhood with few mature trees, and I would like a couple of bags of leaves to cover some perenials. Hoping somebody in McKenzie Lake, Douglasdale or Deer Run has some they need to get rid of.

Said leaves will be turned into mulch in the spring and composted.

There are leaf drop off sites all over the city, just stop by there and grab a couple of bags.

Just one of those things that's probably OK, and "21 year old Ken" would have done it. But now "old guy Ken" doesn't even want to take a chance.

Arbourists will typically offer wood chips for free. This is the best stuff for mulching.

Or phone some arbourists in the phone book. It's tree cutting season right now. They usually just leave piles around for people to take from.
