Default Stucco Question

I'm looking at a new house and had a stucco question for those in the know here:

What are these strap things, the rusty twisted thing above the hose in this photo? These kind of look like brick ties, that keep brick stuck to the exterior wall, but this is a stucco exterior. There is brick on the front of the house, is there a chance they put ties all around the house but didn't use these? There are about 4 of these ties at the side of the house just hanging there.

Thanks!

Yeah, those look like brick ties to me. There is no need for those in an acrylic finish over sand & cement installation like you have. I wouldn't worry about it.

It's a SNAKE man! that's where the snakes climb into your house. Maybe this one is stuck? I would hit it with a shovel! Don't let it fool you. It disguises itself to make you think it's a rusty brick tie. Haven't you seen Indiana Jones?

To me it looks like metal strapping. It probably was one of the anchor points for the scaffolding.

that stuff is allround and it says right on the box it has 1001 uses, but I don't see the use of it in your picture.

Is it in a location on the house where a down spout from your eve trough could've been supported at one time ?
