Me likey!
I'm not much for fancy cars and such, but damn, this things makes me wish I could afford more than my Ford Focus Wagon!
Chrysler has really stepped up the design industry in the last few years in my opinion.

I'm not sure how much I like this design, but I agree with you overall on Crysler - they're actually trying to make cars that look different from everything else out there, rather than just slapping on a spoiler and calling it a revolutionary design.

True but the flop of the Chrysler Crossfire has proven that slapping a sexy body on an old Mercedes platform isn't quite the ticket either. Dealer inventory on those is at an all time high. Style only got the Crossfire so far - it really needed more motor from the get go. That and interior style to match the exterior.

I'll take a G5 or G6 Corvette anyday over that bubble.
Nevermind that its a Chrysler.
It looks a lot like a larger Crossfire (which is as big a bust as the (now discontinued) Thunderbird)

damn, this is what the 350z should look like,
classic long hood, short-deck design.
with some nice curves...
just glad to see a sports car that isn't made to resemble sport utilities!

Looks great from the front but that back end looks a little too Porsche 928ish for me.
Chrysler does seem to be on a design roll lately, having that Hemi really seems to have given a new "halo". Ford has also done a good job in renewing it's lineup, if a little bland in styling. They just need some better engines. The Freestyle / 500 could be contenders if it had closer to 250-270 under the hood.

not that i'm a fan of this particular car,
but why would this matter?
horsepower is the easiest thing to fix on a car.
like the acura nsx, if 270hp isn't enough drop 10 grand on a comptech blower kit to push it over 400. big deal.
mustangs and camaros, i hear people debating the mere tenths-of-a-second 0-60 time differences, then remember my buddies in high school that had SEVERE mods to the engines in their mustangs/camaros.
horsepower, easy.
styling, handling, balance, etc.
hard.

Ever since the Focus, Echo, PT cruiser came out. It seems like designers get around each year, make a pot and who ever makes the fugliest car possible wins.

what's ugly?
for my money just aboot every sport-futility vehicle is obscene.
companies only chase the buck,
it is our tastes, collectively, that make cars ugly.

I couldn't agree more. Man than Thunderbird was so ugly, I don't know how it won a car of year award (Motor trend I think). Same with that nasty Chrysler 300C, puke ugly - wanna be rolls royce gangsta try hard. *SHUDDER*

Their interiors are also brutal, no where near the top manufacturers standards. The interior in the new 300 sedans for example is horrible. It sits too high, is counter-intuitive, is made of cheap materials, and all the lighting is in the wrong spots.
Their actual engine and engine management technology is also way behind....
They increasingly look good on the outside from a distance, as was said, but that only takes you so far...
Claeren.
