Default The Loneliest Man on Earth

And surprisingly he is not a CP poster!

He is the sole survivor of an indigenous Brazilian tribe and the government has established a 31 square-mile preserve to prevent locals from disturbing him.

A government representative seeking to contact him resulted in an arrow to the chest in reply. Now the government keeps their distance, but has been monitoring and seeking to protect him for a dozen years.

Reported in Slate.

Wow. I cannot fathom what goes through his mind when he becomes aware of the presence of other humans.

What about emotions? How does he experience happiness, if he does at all? For us, happiness comes from those around us.

So many questions.

He might of lived with others in his tribe when he was younger.
Happiness can come from more then just others us also, like being happy you found food for dinner or something like that.

We're pretty complex animals that are HIGHLY dependent on socializing with others to survive.

That'd be a rough life.

That's what the spider monkeys they talk about in the article are for - Haven't you ever wondered where the term spank the monkey came from?

Sounds like the story of Ishi.

The last member of the Yahi, in turn the last surviving group of the Yana people of California. Ishi is believed to be the last Native American in Northern California to have lived most of his life completely outside the European American culture. He emerged from the wild near Oroville, California, leaving his ancestral homeland in the foothills near Lassen Peak.
