As most of you are well aware, I am about 40 days out from a long trip to Eastern Europe.

Well, with a trip like this, come MANY hours of train rides, so I have been trying to fill my iPod with all sorts of music....but now I want to make a cool 'summer' type of playlist. Songs that are relaxing, put a smile on your face, and you can chill out to, or fall asleep to.

here are a couple I have so far:
Weezer - Island in the Sun
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop
butthole surfers - pepper
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
YellowCard - Ocean Avenue
Jimmy Eat World - The Middle
Ben Folds Five - Rockin the Subburbs.
Green Day - Basket Case
Phantom Planet - California
Smashing Pumpkins - 1979

You guys have any thoughts for OTHER songs I can add to this list?
thanks in advance.

Krakow, Poland
Budapest, Hun
Brasov, Rom
Bucharest, Rom
Vienna, Austria
Lubaljana, Slovinia
Bratslava, Slovakia
Everywhere in Croatia
and possibly Turkey and Bulgaria.

Any suggestions?

I was in Czech Republic, Armenia, and Georgia. I would really recommend trying to get down to the Caucasus if you can. It's really an unreal place. I wouldn't recommend going to Georgia by yourself, but Armenia is totally safe for single Western travellers and is probably one of the coolest places I have ever been.
