Tattoos
Hey everyone
Looking to get a tattoo soon and just thought I'd poll the masses to see what the best places are. Also it would probably be about the size of a wallet on my back so any idea as to cost would help to.
Thanks

It really depends, are you going to be going for the following colour scheme?

Why not go with one of those old school green homemade jobs you see on the old guy's. Now that would be original!

Bushido and Smiling Buddha are the ones that I hear are the best, but I have yet to use them personally.

What about getting a tattoo under the arm, close to the armpit/ribs? Can the armpit itself be tattood?

I have a tattoo just below my arm pit on my ribs, IMO its a good spot.
In response to the OP - price will vary depending on where you go. If its all black that will be cheaper, and it really depends on the design.

I got mine at Jokers on Centre st. and 16th ave. It was $80 an hour and I'm quite pleased with the result.
It was my one and only tattoo and I wouldn't recommend that place to anyone. I believe that during an experience like getting a tattoo that the place should be accommodating to a few things and help make you comfortable. I didn't get that and I found the staff to be quite rude at times.
It probably didn't help that I passed out after we finished, though. Didn't have a good breakfast that morning. haha
My friend went to Ironwill on MacLeod and Southland and he said he had a great experience. Great staff, super friendly, and they had individual rooms for each person. His took three hours and they even put on a movie for him to watch while it was being done. I intend on getting an addition in the near future and I know I want to go to Ironwill.
Oh, and I got mine on my calf. The chart doesn't tell me what that means! But I picked that spot for several reasons. Easy to hide and easy to show off. Perfect for me.

Immaculate concept on 17'th ave is considered to be one of the best shops in town. I don't personally have any work from any of the artists there but I know a few people who have gone and are extremely happy.

Deadly tattoos on Macleod tr by chinook is another good shop with a bunch of great artists working there. It is also the shop that James tex works at (Owns?) who is considered by most to be one of (if not the) best in tattoo artist in Canada.

I would also suggest checking out Dustin Poole and Ryan Gagne at Sacred Balance tattoos on 17'th ave by 14'th st, I have some work done by Ryan and am extremely happy with the result.

as for price, If you're looking at something small (Wallett/deck of cards size) in Greyscale, from any of those shops I am guessing they are in the 150-200$ range. Remember good Tattoos are not cheap And cheap tattoos are not good.
