Sport Chek will do it fast and cheap... not sure how good their quality is. Looked into this for my bro's number 12 with a missing C.

Actually I was taking a look at NHL.com's shop website and was wondering if anyone knows what the quality is like from getting jersey's there?
I was looking at getting a customizable vintage reebok jersey from them, price seems decent enough anyone know what the quality of the jersey/stitching of the name/numbers is like or how it compares to the FanAttic or Jersey City? Thanks.

Well are you getting a name stitched as well?
When I bought from JC last year the numbers/names/A is all one price.
Also, stitched is more expensive, but its much better then getting pressed

Unless it's changed recently, they're the worst. They use a weird heat-pressed number that's actually a single printed layer (complete with drawn-on "stitches") that is glued to the jersey.
I'm confused as to why you want to get the "A" separately? If you're getting a new jersey lettered when you buy it, why would you not get the "A" at the same time?

Fair enough...the first jersey I ever bought was a CCM Kipper one from JC.
If I got a ready-made jersey but wanted them to add a letter could they do it there?
And are the Rebook Vintage's available now?

I bought an Iggy in 2003 or 4 and it had no C, a local place stitched it on like a year or two later for ten bucks, they still had to send it off to get it done but no biggie.
I'm in BC so the location I went to is of no use to you, just saying it's not hard/expensive.

So the Fanattic won't stitch the namebar/number/letter on my jersey? Colour me dissapointed, I was going to drop my home and away jerseys to get lettered in the next few days.

I paid $10 at the hockey hall of fame to add an 'A' to my Iggy team Canada jersey.

Yes, if you drop them off in-store, they'll send them away to get done up.
It's only if you get them done in the Saddledome on game day that they just heat press them.

If I go into Jersey City though tell them I want a specific jersey and want it with a certain name, number and 'A' they'll send it away to get it done? Stitched?
I'd preferred to have mine stitched then to heat pressed.

Sorry, I should clarify.
If you drop it off at the Fanattic, they'll send it away and get properly stitched. It's only if you buy it on game day and want it done right then that they heat press it because they don't have the stitching facilities in house (although, they usually have the more popular ones in stock that are properly stitched).
More than likely, whether you bring it into the Fanattic or Jersey City, they'll send it to the same third party to do the work.

Last season, over the phone, I ordered an Iginla new retro jersey from the FanAttic.
I was adamant that I wanted the jersery to be "exactly" like Jarome's but being in New York makes it tough to secure a good, authentic, Canadian team jersey (the NHL Store Powered by Reebok in midtown blows).
So I thought - why not call the Saddledome?
FanAttic told me that a third party does the stitching - the same company that does the ACTUAL Flames jerseys (save for one-offs during the season with trades, call-ups, etc).
I thought that was cool and would add some cachet to my jersey.
So yes, it would seem that the FanAttic does send a jersey away to get stitched.

This has been brought up in damn near every jersey cresting thread, but FanAttic and Jersey City send their jerseys out to be stitched with Great Plains. So you can go to either or, and get the same job done.
You can buy heat pressed for the convienence, and I think it's the same price, but the quality is waaaaaay off. Wash it 3 times, and expect your numbers to peel off.
Stiched is the way to go, but sending it out can take 2-4 weeks for the jersey to return, but as far as quality goes, it's much better.
