Default Best Goaltending tandem?

Would like to try this for all positions. Maybe a poll if mods think so.

Who has the best tandem in the league?

the choices imo...

Monteal - Miller and Harding. Miller is the best rated, and just won a cup. Harding keeps showing his potential and has decent rating to backup Miller.

Islanders - Lundqvist and Conklin. Lundy is one of the best and conklin has a very nice 66 overall to give Lundy some nights off.

Pittsburgh - Nabakov and Price. Nabakov is a 73 and Price almost has a starters rating. The only knock for these guys is Nabby not being as good as the other two.

Washington - Mason and Hedberg. Probably an under-rated pair, but both have solid ratings and could do very well this year.

Anaheim - Kiprusoff and Budaj. An elite tender and well-rated backup partner in Anaheim.

Chicago - Bryzgalov and Osgood. Probably another under-rated pair due to Osgood hate but he can still hold his own for the year.

So 6 pairs in my opinion, name others if you'd like.

My vote would probably go to Pittsburgh pair. Nabakov will win games and Price can do the same thing. I think the Islanders are a close 2nd for me.

I go with Nashville. Toskala, DiPietro and Lalime. We might try to dress all three of them and rotate on every goal against!

I would say the Islanders, Lundqvist is a top 3 goalie and Conklin is a solid Backup.

Thanks for the love, I like that Pittsburgh tandem although they both have a bit of choking to them the sim will ignore it. Unbelievable how good the Islanders tandem will be. I obviously like my own...

Miller Time! I really like Ryan Miller and his ratings, but depending on what happens this year with sliders for duarability I may need to upgrade Harding. His 63 OVR is somewhat questionable. That's why the Isles have the best tandem IMO.

Cap hit is a big factor in this

Kipper/Budaj - 13.5
Bryz/Osgood - 13.34
Miller/Harding - 12.1
Lundqvsit/Conklin - 9.0
Price/Nabakov - 11.15

That's the tie-breaker for me. The Isle have one of the very best, and still are under 10 mill for both goalies. (assuming they find someone to take Raycroft)

I don't think I can afford to overpay your backup in the CPHL (this is the part when someone points out how much I'm paying Biron to be my #2 this year...and next)

Arnt you paying Biron 8.5 mill to be your backup?
