Railing for deck question

I am getting my deck done and looking to buy some aluminum / metal railing (no glass just simple standard railing) for my deck about 14 feet by 12 feet + 3 feet for each side of the stairs just wondering if anyone knows where the best place to buy it will be? How about the cheapest? For you experts out there or if you have got this done before how much will it approximately cost for me to buy the railing? Thanks in advance for any info.

A buddy of mine just did his except he used glass. Totem was the cheapest according to him. You're under $1k for sure...maybe $650?

I bought mine from Rona. It was cheaper than Home Depot, I didn't check Totem. It cost me $1700 but I did a two tier deck that is approximately double the size of yours. I wouls estimate around $1000.

Totem has the Regal stuff on sale right now. It's pretty straightforward to install.

If you have a corporation, then get a Rona contractor card, that'll get you 10% off almost everything, even on top of sales.

The best stuff is installed by railing companies (I used Valley View for the 6 foot privacy glass). They measure, you'll get an uninterrupted top rail, the railings are much thicker, the aluminum is much thicker gauge.

Thanks for all the info....went out and about last night and Rona has the regal stuff in bronze (brown), black & white. Home Depot only has black or white (unless you want to spend big bucks they have some pretty cool stuff you can special order) and thanks to Silver I checked out out Totem. For what we were looking for Rona came in at about $1150 but they have the regal stuff and three colours to choose from, Home Depot was around $1050 but thy had limited choice for what we needed and Totem was the best price (and the most helpful!) at $970 including $75 for delivery so if I had a truck I would only be paying less than $900 and they have the regal stuff as mentioned by Shazam on sale and they have the 3 colours to chose from. So we're going with Totem. We found Home Depot on 130th Ave SE and Rona on Macleod were busy and the associates weren't very helpful. Totem in Mindapore was great as far as service and knowledge atleast from what we experienced yesterday.

The stuff is very light, you don't need delivery.

If you do want delivery though, I know that the NW Totem has free delivery until August 2 for orders over $500.

I heard Rona matches competitor prices and beats them by 10%? Has anyone tried it, it might be worth to go that route depending on how much time you have.

Home Depot will match and beat unless the item is on sale and then they will just match
