good thing about the rid is that you change directions, so you are riding into the wind and then with it - bad thing is the weather here, if it turns, 40 k can turn into a very long ride home even if you have some rain gear.
how old is you son?
as an aside, i used to go for long rindes and never had a speedometer/odometer - when I finally got one, i was stunned to see that i regularly rode 100k.

You must be like the others I saw on the paths today! There are a lot of fit people in this city! I was surprised to see that there is a rush hour for bike commuters. I did my own version of the tour and it took me 5:15 of riding time but I had many stops! Once under 16 ave overpass to let a storm pass. Lots of washed out path near Mcknight and I was waste deep in areas

Small hail in the area to. Crazy looking sky the entire time. My GPS clocked the entire thing at 100.5km and says I burned 3,316 calories. Very hilly up in the NW end! I was sucking air at about 60km and feeling demoralized

Bowmont Park picked me back up. Nice ride overall but I doubt my son is ready for it.....7 year old....but if he wants to man up I guess I will plan on spending 10 hours and lots of looking back to make sure he is pedalling.
