The cheap booze thread
Ok, so the liquor depot near my house is normally really expensive, but sometimes they have bottles of Crown Royal, Wiesers, Smirnoff and Polar Ice on for like 20 bucks. However I never have a clue when these deals are on.
Also, I'm a big fan of Grappa and it also expensive most of the time. In an effort to expand my liquor cabinet I would appreciate heads ups on these things
Cheers!

Man, you couldn't pay me to drink Polar Ice. That stuff is like paint thinner.
A good bang for you buck rye is Canadian 83. That stuff is the bomb.

Here is one of those large depots in Florida.
Prices will make you wish you lived there.

Really? You're calling him out on Polar Ice, but you give him a pass on Smirnoff?

Ah good call. But at least Smirnoff has different flavours, so you can make jello shots on the cheap. Polar Ice has zero redeeming qualities.

for prices, and provided you can find what you want, superstore and costco are the ones for me.

For the record, I only bought polar ice once! I was just mentioning the ones that are often on sale. Honestly I prefer Silver Wedding to Polar Ice.

Liquor depot flyers should be out in the next couple of days. Always big deals before long weekends.

Any cheap beer that is tasty? Oxymoron?
In my college days, Old Milwaukee was drinkable, if only because it was like $1/beer.
The hockey team drinks Lucky on occasion.
But those aren't something I'd enjoy just sitting at home watching the game drinking.
Having said that, I do prefer the finer beers, they're just so damn expensive.
Anything in the middle ground that could be recommended?
