I'd be all over that, however I'm not sure if my computer will be able to handle sc2. Does anyone know if this would be good enough?
Here's my computer: http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/232287
Edit: Apparently these are the system requirements for the beta:
PC Minimum Requirements:
• Windows XP SP3/Vista SP1/Windows 7
• 2.2 Ghz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor
• 1 GB system RAM/1.5 GB for Vista and Windows 7
• 128 MB NVidia GeForce 6600 GT/ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card
• 1024x768 minimum display resolution
• 4 GB free hard space (Beta)
• Broadband connection
Do I meet those?

I have never played a Starcraft game, or a Warcraft game. What are they like? Sort of like AoE but sci-fi, or like Red Alert?
I haven't played a computer game in ages, still waiting for Diablo 3, LOL. I have been waiting for 7 years...hopefully only one more.

Yes they're both strategy games like AoE or Red Alert, except the quality is way better in my opinion. Highly highly recommended. Blizzard easily makes the best computer games.

Does anyone know what's going on with the collectors? I'm coming in a bit late to the SC2 hype machine, but Amazon.ca has it listed as "contact me when the info becomes available".

Amazing game, can't wait for the retail version. Beta right is pretty damn good so it's definitely worth pre-ordering.

Oh man, I would be all over this if I had a decent enough computer that would run the game.
I loved the original, and if I could even remotely afford to buy a new computer I would for this game.
Anyone know how much a computer that would run this game fine would cost? haha

SC2 shouldn't be that intensive. What kind of a computer do you have?
It could be as easy as a $100 videocard upgrade or maybe a $500 overhaul.

What's the difference between the beta and the rear version? Is beta just battle.net?

Is SC2 just 1 vs 1 or are there teams? If it has teams, I could see myself buying a new computer and buying this. Then we can have CP battles.

The only light I can really shed is that it doesn't appear to be overly resource intensive. So I wouldn't be too surprised if it functioned well on low settings on that rig.
Heh, that 9800 Pro was a beast of a card in its day.

There's a million ways you can do it on battle.net. FFA, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, or use map settings games which are random user created games using starcraft's world i suppose, some of which are ridiculously awesome. I recommend getting starcraft 1 and trying it out, you'll see what I mean. Or warcraft 3. Trust me they are not out of date.

I think your video card might be insufficient. I'd suggest getting a cheap 256mb card and maybe a bit more ram.

Processor looks good and stuff? Cause if those are the only two things that would be holding me back, they're pretty cheap to upgrade so that's not necessarily that bad of news.
