I like bad, cheesey music, hence the Avril, and Ashley Simpson

I mean honestly who else would have Avril followed by ICP?

And I'm a Cape Bretoner... means I'm the only kind better than a Newf :P

I'm also a poor university student I can't afford an I-River, or I-Pod

I love music so I'll post one of my many mix cds. You can download most of these songs off soulseek.

This is kind of a easy listening indie themed relaxey cd. Good to give to a girlfriend or something to show that you like really good music that she will probably like without it being something cheesy like Avril Lavigne or Jessica Simpson

The title I gave the cd is Limited Lifetime:

Kevin Shields - Are you Awake? (lost in translation soundtrack)
The Appleseed Cast - On Reflection
The Weakerthans - Psalm for the Elks Lodge Last
The Be Good Tanyas - It's Not Happening
Tegan and Sara - Living Room
Cat Stevens - The Wind
The Constantines - On To You
The Weakerthans - A New Name For Everything
The Decemberists - A Soldiering Life
Wilco - How to Fight Loneliness
The Postal Service - Clark Gable
Notwist - Neon Golden
Cat Power - Good Woman
Broken Social Scene - Anthem for a Seventeen Year Old
The Smiths - Bigmouth Strikes Again
Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister
Ryan Adams - In My Time of Need
The Decemberists - Grace Cathedral Hill
Irone and Wine - Bird Stealing Break
Air - Alone in Tokyo

Okay, just for the sake of sharing, here's my current mix (actually on ipod). Consistently mellow in tone:

Believe -- Macha Loves Bedhead
Let's Save Tony Orlando's House -- Yo La Tengo
Jersey Girl -- Tom Waits
That's Entertainment -- The Jam
The Wind -- Cat Stevens
The Boxer -- Simon and Garfunkel
Woody -- Hayden
Plea from a Cat Named Virtue -- Weakerthans
Polar Opposites -- Modest Mouse
Sundown -- Gordon Lightfoot
Days -- David Bowie
Seu Jorge -- Life on Mars
Drinking in LA -- Bran Van 3000
Jesus Drove a Motorhome -- Jim White
Ohio Air Show Plane Crash -- Joe Henry
Jesus Jones -- Victoria
So Long to the Holidays -- Ugly Casanova

edit: I posted my list before I saw Hakan's--wow, almost exactly the same vibe! One could easily combine the two (removing the one duplicate song) and they'd work together perfectly!

Oh, but it does get better than that. He's got some Alberta blood in him too (Lived here for 14 years)

Leave it to Jon to make the Cape Breton/NS connection :P

[Private Malone's on the radio as I type. Haven't heard that song in ages!]
