Default LF: Large boxes for packing up house

I live in the SW in the Anderson and Mcleod area. Does anyone have any suggestions on free/cheap boxes that I could pick up in order to pack up my house contents?

I have contacted many supermarkets and canadian tire/brick type stores and have not had much luck. In the past I have used liquor stores or produce sections from supermarkets.

Any help would be appreciated

CO-OP's and Sobeys are usually pretty helpful. That's where I got mine.

I know Williams Moving used to sell used moving cartons. Much cheaper than the new ones. I don't remember how much, but $20 would probably get you a good pile of them.

Contact some of the stores in Southcentre mall... I know when I worked @ JB's bags the boxes that we got our luggage in were fairly big and sturdy. I think stock days were Thursdays, but I think they've changed that to daily...

Just saw this on Kijiji for $20:

http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-housing-s...AdIdZ211861136

LOTS of good moving boxes. Mostly UHAUL boxes. A few wardrobe boxes, and a good assortment of small, medium and large boxes. $20 for all. But you must take them ALL.

Boxes are at my home in Altador (Marda Loop area)

Enough to move a small to medium house.

Whenever I drive to the soccer centre on Glenmore trail theres a place advertising moving boxes available.

I dont know if you'll be able to fit your house in them though.

This. Every company get's their paper shipped in boxes and other office related materials. I'm sure if you ask the receptionist at some places they would be happy to get rid of them.

Except how much time do you have to put into running around for a few boxes here and a few boxes there? If that's worth your while...yikes!

Not much effort is required, you just need to talk to someone in office services and have them save boxes for you.

U-Haul has a forum where you can get used boxes from others locally for free or cheaply.
