Default Exotic car rentals in Vegas....

I know this is a big time shot in the dark, but I don't have anyone in my circle of friends that has done this, outside of a Vette or 911 which run about $400 / day and I don't want to get burned as the super exotics run a much higher premium.

I am spending 4 days in Vegas in November, and want to rent a Lamborghini Gallardo or Ferrari F430 for a few days. Has anyone here rented an exotic down there have any recommendations on rental agencies or know someone that has?

The average price seems to be around $1000 / day or $2500 for 3 but I keep seeing a lot of warnings about these places baiting and switching cars, and dinging you with phantom charges after, or simply not delivering a car and making it near impossible to get your deposit back.

I kinda look at it as a once in a lifetime sort of experience, as I doubt I will ever have $250K to buy one, but I am pretty sure in 3 days, I can live the dream and take more out of the car than a lot of the owners of these things do in a lifetime.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I thought you had to give some kind of collateral to rent a car like that, you know like your house or something.

99% of these exotic cars will have 100 mile a day limits on them with extreme over-milage rates...I don't think you'll be able "take more out of the car than a lot of the owners".

There must be a road track you can go out on for that kind of money.

I wouldn't want to be in public traffic anyhow, and the tickets... Not a chance

I know the mileage limits are tough, but 300 miles in 3 days is pretty generous. It seems on most places charge a 1.50 a mile to go over, so really, 500 extra miles will run you 750 bucks which isn't too bad. From what I have researched, they require you supply a 5K credit card deposit which is no problem, and have third party insurance and your good to go. I contacted my insurance co today, and they indicated I am covered on any vehicle I drive. My main concern is the reputation of the agencies, as it is a pretty big expense to get burned on.
