Nothing new here, but instead a look at some independent flicks that ended up being popular money makers. Even though 'Primer' never pulled in the astronomical returns that some of these did, IMO its the best ever made per dollar spent for gripping screen time.

I watched Centurion last night. 8/10.

Hell of a lot better than most hollywood movies.

The main actor in Solomon Kane is in the HBO series Rome. He's just as good in Solomon Kane as he was in Rome.

Cool thread idea. Haven't even heard of these films.

Just watching the trailer for Centurion and I see it's directed by Neil Marshall. I loved 'The Descent' and didn't realize he had this coming out. I will be sure to check it out now!

Just watched that Solomon Kane. It was ok, a bit predictable though. Not a bad flick.

The trailer does not do the film justice but but "Let the right one in" is an awesome Vampire movie set in early 1980's Sweden. Watch this film if you're sick of twilight and other pieces of crap.



I know that there is an American version coming out later this year but I really doubt that it will be as good as the Swedish one.
