However, since this is an updated model, and they're only just getting them in now, there probably won't be any discount...
Any advice? And before anyone mentions it, yes I know used vehicles are cheaper. I still want to buy new.

If you really want a discount buy a 2009 or 2010. Let someone else take the depreciation hit for you.

i have purchased three vehicles thru advantage ford on macleod trail and things have went as well as can be expected - when there were issues they stepped up and made it right - although i did have to provide them with a few reminders of how much i have spent there
speaking of ford jingles - i used to love the one that said at ford quality was job 1.....

I purchased 2 vehicles this year from Advantage Ford. Great service and if there is an issue they do address them and get it resolved.

Good time to buy new. At least down here in the states, used cars are ridiculously expensive at the moment, and buying a new car often makes more sense because of great incentives.
The Edge is definitely a bit of a soccer-mom vehicle (then again, what crossover isnt) but from what I hear, its definitely a solid product in that category. The 2011 interior is supposed to be a big improvement as well.

I think right now is a pretty good time to buy. I'm in the market for an F150.

Yes. and they still suck. Rented a top of the line Taurus in Vancouver last month. Sure they try to go luxury and put all these gadgets into it but the handling and the driving experience was terrible.
I only paid $16/day which was a great price though.

Your first problem is that you are buying a Ford.....
At least you aren't buying a Chrysler or a GM.

I also got my 2 from Marc Stokes. Definately a salesman that I could deal with again without wanting to strangle him.

Found On Road Dead.
That said, my dad has a Ford, the first of anyone I know for the past 20 years. We used to be a Chrysler family, but the Ford is a company lease.
I'm very happy and surprised with how good it actually is. And the fact they didn't take any bailout is a biggie too.

If it matters to you, Maclin also gives Airmiles.
Whichever Edge you get make sure it has the Ecoboost engine in it.

I have the exact same rental right now. First time I've ever driven a FORD. At first glance it does seem like a really nice car, it even looks nice. But I know what you mean, there is something about the handling and even acceleration that just doesn't feel quite as smooth as you would expect when you look at it. The car is massive too, an absolute beast.

Don't know if you are interested, but you can get a great deal on 2010 Flex. Not used, but may have celebrated a "birthday" on the lot. Not many 2010's left in town, but I looked at a loaded Limited yesterday that was going to come in at 43,000 ish, all in. (Sticker 53,000)

Byrns - I bought my Escape at Cam Clarke in Airdrie and the experience was okay. Not great but not terrible.
