Flashforward debuts tonight! 8ET/6MT ABC
Flashforward is debuting tonight. 8ET/6MT. Can't wait! They have a 20 minute preview up on the Flashforward ABC website, but I don't want to ruin it for myself. I saw the beginning, and it begins quite a bit how LOST began. Me likey.

The whole concept freaks me out to the core of my being. Watching that scene where everyone is falling over at exactly the same moment terrifies me.

Is no one else going to watch this? For shame. Will be better than Glee, I can tell you that...

I am going to give it a try. I don't really know what it's about though.

It seems so very JJ Abrams from the previews, which can only be a good thing. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

The wiki informs me this is based on a book by a Canadian author. Cool.

Pretty sweet city destruction scenes. Lost-esque in its intro, with him waking up to devastation.

So far it's not doing much for me.

Well, it has been only 20 minutes, but I think it's been pretty cool. Kind of a leap for them all just to come to the conclusion that everyone in the world jumped ahead in conciousness to April 29th, 2010, at 10PM, but, ehhh.
The city destruction scenes were pretty cool.

Pretty cool ending with the guy just walking around at the baseball game while everyone else drops to the floor.
Overall, I liked it. Very interesting concept, even if there are some holes... The connection to the dates was too quick, and I thought Shakespeare boy didn't do much but look around and furrow his brow. The babysitter was a bit cliche, too. Once they start digging into the whys and what not, I think it'll get very good. The Nazi guy acting like he knows why it was that many seconds long, and Charlie knowing who did it... Next Thursday!

Wasn't blown away by it, but I think it has potential. The teaser they showed at the end of what's to come looked pretty good. I will give it another try so I hope it lives up to that preview.
Also - neat to see Seth Mcfarlane in a serious role, outside of Family Guy.

Was just about to come and make a new thread about this. It pretty well lived up to expectations for me. I'm not really familiar with any of Abrams previous stuff (save a few scenes from Cloverfield), but I have to agree that the destruction scenes were pretty breathtaking.
I'm gonna stick with it. Like has been mentioned, there is a ton of potential.

I thought it was pretty good for what it was but having read the book before this am a little disappointed that they didn't follow some of the plotlines from the original story (for example, the flashforward was more like 2yrs fwd in the book not 6months). Realizing they have to compromise some bits tho for tv is what it is tho I guess, I just thinking making it a 6month window doesn't really give them a long life tho, series-wise.

Unless there's another flashforward.

I though it the premise was pretty good, but it was starting to veer a little too close to the cheesy end of the spectrum. Shakespeare and Harold especially hammed it up a little too much for me.
I'll give it another shot next week though.
So far, Modern Family, is the best new show I've seen.

I found it decent enough. The end with the lone guy walking has peaked my interest enough that I will keep watching.
I hate cliff hangers though, so I will PVR a number of episodes and then watch them all at once. Plus, if I wait half of a season, and it gets cancelled, I didnt waste my time.

Yeah, after reading the book, this was a bit disappointing but I loved the book and the show was still OK, so I'll give it a few more weeks. In the book, they flashed like 20 years into the future and while I understand they can't do that here, I wonder what the producers are planning for the time after April 2010, because if it's just repeated flash forwards and seasons of "we know where we're going but how do we get there", this show might become Heroes-esque really quick.
Did anyone else notice the Oceanic Airlines billboard?
