Default Best/Cheapest place to buy a marriage license?

Okay CP faithful, I need to know where the best place to pick up my marriage license is. Which registry charges the least?

I'd suggest not going through with a wedding in the first place if you are concerned about getting the cheapest price on a marriage certificate. You got some big problems if you are having a wedding, and that is actually a concern of yours. That's probably the cheapest items of the whole wedding.

Go all out on on the marriage certificate, and elope. Save yourself 30 K

Not if you did it like Buzzardswife and I. Quick trip to the registry, over to the JP and BAM! Another one bit the dust. I don't remember how much, but I think it was less than a couple hun 10 years or so ago.

The most expensive part of the day was the dinner a the Blackfoot Inn....or maybe it was the shi**y movie afterwards, I can't remember.

Pretty sure Service Alberta stuff like this has a standard charge + registry service fee. Its not much and is going to vary by like $2-3 between places.

But I agree, if you're having trouble dropping a few bucks on the license.......might be a safe time to back away and save thousands.

I think you misunderstood the question.

If he wanted Dr. Phil he would have emailed him.

Isn't the marriage license cost dictated by the province - thus all registries should be the same?

A simple question, not looking for a smart ass awnser. If you have nothing to add that helps then STFU! I personally hate when a registry adds 20-50% on the cost of some things so I thought I would ask the question.

Yeah for sure. Such a huge waste of money IMO.

Only down side is this that I've heard many times in the last 10 years..."Oh, sometimes I wish we'd of had a fancy wedding".....ugghhhh, usually right after a friend or relative's wedding of course.

So you declare you're eternal love for a girl by trying to convince her that she doesn't want the wedding she wants and should instead do what you want because you know better? And you're giving advice about marriage?

Something doesn't add up.

My advice is screw getting married and just rotate girlfriends until you're dead. That way you can keep getting upgrades as opposed to plowing through loads of miles on the same model-year. ...
