Ipad push and Fetch

So I leave my Ipad on the kitchen table at my parents house and my uncle adds his gmail account in my while I leave the house on an errand. I just noticed all of his emails on my ipad as I hit the mail icon.

So If I delete the account on the ipad, will I have deleted all of his stored email in his gmail account?

Is push just a notification? Does the ipad store all of my uncles emails?

I don't have an ipad or an iphone, so I cannot be 100% sure if this is a web client or a regular pop client you are using, but I am assuming that it is pop.

So removing his account and emails from your iPad should not remove any of his emails from gmail unless he has set gmail to delete email accessed via pop, in which case the emails were gone from his account the instant he checked his mail and you deleting them from you iPad has nothing to do with deleting them on the server.

Delete away.

If you remove the account from settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars it won't do anything to the actual account.
