Default Bosh on Twitter: "Should I stay or should I go?"

Quote:
Been wanting to ask. Where should I go next season and why?
Quote:
Ok... Let me rephrase the question. Should I stay or should I go?
http://twitter.com/chrisbosh

Ugh. You know Toronto fans want you to stay, everyone else really wants you on their team. Do you really have to ask them to stroke your ego?

This article expresses my feelings quite well: http://www.nationalpost.com/sports/s...tml?id=2973282

Quote:
That's what this was - a cry for attention, for affection, for an adrenaline shot to the ego. Worse, it was a disingenuous cry; it was the kind of fan-baiting that Bosh was above this season, as he conducted himself with dignity and respect. Unlike, say, LeBron James, who took a peculiar sort of delight in publicly flirting with the idea of playing in New York, among other places. LeBron appears likely to stay in Cleveland, in which case all of that will be forgotten, and forgiven.

Bosh, on the other hand, seems destined to leave. At his season-closing news conference, he put a premium on contending, and on winning. Toronto has won 11 playoff games in 15 years of existence.

The article was right on. I like Bosh, but stupid comments/ attention mongering somewhat hopes he leaves. If I had twitter, I'd tweet for him to leave for asking such a stupid question.

It might not be the case, but could it just be some posturing on his part? He has every right to try and sweeten the deal no? Not everything that comes out of an athletes mouth is done for their ego, just like the team they have goods to sell as well.

As much as I want him to stay, I don't think he will. Bosh is a great player but it doesn't look like he can ever take us out of the first round. I like the supporting cast the Raptors have.

When I read the title, my reaction echoed that of the article inside.

What an attention whore.

That's pretty weak by CB4, especially since he probably has no intention of returning.

Ego-stroking is for insecure mental midgets. I'm a bit disappointed; thought he was above that sort of prima-donna behaviour.

I actually believe CB4 is really having a hard time accepting the fact that leaving the joke the Raptors are is the only chance he will get to contend and is the smartest move for him. I think he truely likes/loves the city and the fans, and knows if he goes somewhere else and wins he'll always be the guy/looser who couldn't lead his own team.

If Wade leaves, he already was a winner.
If Lebron leaves, he already was a winner.
If Bosh leaves, he is the guy who couldn't elivate his game and get the Raptors to win anything.

Is Bosh going to leave? Before this I would have said 100% yes. Now, I'm thinking 50/50.

It just doesn't seem like Bosh needs to ego stroking. He'll get plently of that once FA season starts anyways

Posturing for what? He's gonna get the maximum, at least according to the Raptors' GM.

Attention whore? Man you can't please anyone now a days. You always hear people complain about athletes just saying the same old cliche lines, yet when someone goes out of the norm he is an attention whore. Well I have news for you, EVERYONE on twitter is! Why does anyone care to share their every step to the world? Attention!

I think it is cool. Maybe he wants to just see the what support he would get from the Toronto faithful. Shows he cares and is at least thinking of staying with the team.

Completely ridiculous.

Pleas . . . love me . . . hug me . . . hold me . . . I want you . . . to want . . . me.

Now when he signs a massive money contract out there he can say "Don't blame me, the Toronto fans didn't show me as much love as the fans from the team that I joined."

Hopefully next year when he shows up in Toronto to play the Rapters they have rotten fruit night.

Yeah, The NP article pretty much hits the nail on the head. No sports fan with any pride should respond to a tweet like this; it's like your girlfriend asking you to publicly beg her to stay with you. Dude, just do what you gotta do.

Good riddance Bosh and thanks for getting the Raptors to two first rounds.

I can totally see Peyton Manning or Tom Brady doing this same thing....

How bout a boot up the arse?

He's not saying anything interesting, its all about him, "should I stay or go?" gimme a break, last year he was complaining that ppl on twitter won't stop asking him about his future and this year with this BS.

I'm a raptors fan but if this clown comes back than I will not be cheering for them.

Yeesh, the angst in this thread is brutal.

Did we all forget about what Vince Carter did to this team when he left? Gutted his trade value, tanked games, moped, and generally acted like a grade-A clown.

Bosh, a perennial all-star that emerged as a legitimate franchise player and excellent role model, makes a vapid post to interact with fans and he's an "ego-stroking mental midget" that deserves to be booed and put in the stocks if he resigns?

You can't see the difference between the guy not wanting to talk about his plans with a year left on his deal and now when he isn't under contract anymore?

I wish more athletes were like Bosh. He seems like a very good and open person with his fans when he can or should be.

Fans are crying when he asks for their opinion and is open. And fans cry when he is quiet and closed off. Oh well can't please everyone I guess...

He'll be forgiven if he stays. But if he leaves, he's already set the stage to blame Toronto fans for not loving him enough on Twitter. And that's stupid.

I dunno who was crying when he shut his trap (actually he never does), usually whenever he speaks its bunch of crap coming out of him, vote me to the all-star game, watch me eat this much crap, tell me if I shud stay or go.
