Ultimate Warrior responds to the Million Dollar Man
Ted Dibiase has made no secret of his hatred of the Ultimate Warrior.
The Warrior has responded to him on his blog.
Like him or not, at least the Warrior has the guts to say how he really feels!
Guys like you funded petty cash. Guys like me — and Hogan and Savage at the time — paid the mortgages and the travel bills and the production costs of the whole operation.
I earned my limousine. Yours was provided as part of your silly gimmick. Reality check: my quarterly royalty checks were for more money than you made in a whole year.
Fifteen minutes after you left the business, thoughts of you ceased to exist. Fifteen years since Ultimate Warrior’s last time in a WWF ring, people can’t quit talking about him.
Wow, I thought I knew what a rant was, until I read his rant on his blog, it just keeps going and going and going and going.
The UW is the only WWF star that I remember that was popular that never talked, or at least I never remember him talking.

Sure people can't stop talking about him, he became the symbol for the site wrestlecrap.com. And Warrior putting himself in Hogan Savage territory is laughable. He was in the spotlight for a short period of time, but when he returned for the megafeud against Hogan and the NWO he showed that he couldn't draw a stickperson on a unicycle.
His blathering moronic wrestling promo's though were unintentionally hilarious
Meanwhile Dibiase was one of the best villians in the business.

I guess I remember UW a little different. I do remember him being close to the same level as Hogan and Macho, and way above million dollar man.
The only thing MDM had was some very funny catch phrases and skits.

No no, he's right... he's in the same ilk as Hulk and Savage. None of them were great wrestlers, but they knew how to get the fans behind them.
I love that 'Warrior' points out that the WWF(E) made the Million Dollar Man, and bankrolled him, yet Jim Helwig doesn't point out that he was the most manufactured identity in wrestling history. Considering he started in the Fed as the 'Dingo Warrior', a Vince name, replaced Dingo with Ultimate, another Vince idea.
Plus, he's taking Ted DiBiase's comments from the one sided WWE produced DVD about the career of the Ultimate Warrior, which 'Warrior' himself declined participation. Had he been involved, I'm sure it would have a completely different tone. That's not an attempt to defend DiBiase's comment, as he did say those things. PS - if you haven't seen "The Self Destruction Of The Ultimate Warrior", I highly suggest it.
'Warrior' is an intelligent human being. Yes, I'm serious. You can tell by the style in which he writes. I don't agree with his opinions, but he is smart. Think about some of the tactics he pulled while with the WWF(E). He knew when the right time was to hold McMahon hostage for money, much like players holding out in other professional sports. Granted, most players of professional sports don't hold out mid season, after signing a new contract, but I don't think he feared Vince as much as others.
He also knew when to get back in, with his run in WCW. Dud? Yes. Money maker for 'Warrior'? Yes.
In a business where you can't take a man who runs around, roided out, with face paint and tassels seriously, I kinda have to hand it to the guy for what he tried to do.
But to say that he was a better wrestler? No. That is incorrect. To say that DiBiase didn't 'draw', that's incorrect as well. Sure, he never won the Heavyweight Title, but he was the guy that would put over the guys who sold the T-Shirts and the tickets. Without those guys, there are no stars.
Intelligent, and Bat Poop Crazy, all wrapped into one.

Was DiBiase even a wrestler? I remember trying to figure out why this black guy's manager kept fighting all his fights for him. I don't know what the hell that was all about.
I thought the dude who played the Warrior died? Explanasion SVP?
As per Wikipedia:
Rumors and urban legends began around this time (and still persist to this day in some fan circles) that the original Ultimate Warrior and Dingo Warrior were not the same as the one who returned to wrestling in 1992, 1996, and 1998, and it was believed that the original Warrior had died. When the Ultimate Warrior returned to the WWF in 1992, it was rumored that Kerry Von Erich was playing the part, since Warrior's hair was much shorter than before; however, this has been shown time and time again not to be the case, as the character had always been played by the same individual. The reason for this confusion is a storyline which featured Warrior being "locked in an air-tight coffin" by The Undertaker (whom he was feuding with at the time) and his musculature's drastic changes, provoked by the presumed reduction (or cease) of anabolic steroid use occasioned by Titan Sports legal troubles over the alleged distribution of performance enhancing drugs. It was around this time (mid-late 1992) that Warrior sported a "Muscle Outfit," a flesh colored spandex singlet with muscles printed upon it.

Except Warrior would only draw money when he was working with guys who were already drawing money. His championship runs were no great shakes in terms of drawing fans, thats why he was pretty much a transitional champion. Fans also tired of him quickly, and federations also tired of him quickly.
I will always remember when the WWE put out the Ultimate Warrior comix book where it was almost like he raped Santa Clause.
I haven't followed wrestling since I was in grade one and I believed that it was real and I was genuinely scared that the Undertaker was going to kill Hulk Hogan for real and put in in a coffin.
So please, for the unenlightened, what's the history of the Million $ Man's beef with the Ultimate Warrior?

Actually, Savage was a great wrestler.

Dingo Warrior was not a Vince name. He used it in World Class after he left Mid-South after being one half of the Blade Runners with Sting.
I remember when Warrior used to hawk crap on eBay I, along with lots of other people, would try the 'ask the seller a question' section to ask stupid questions to get him all riled up. It was pretty freaking funny.

In WCW one of the terrible ideas was based around the Ultimate Warrior being able to Teleport. so he would vanish in a cloud of smoke in one place and instantly show up in the Rafters.
This was done by using a stand in Warrior called the Renegade, a wrestler who looked like the Warrior only 1/5th his size.
After the Warrior left WCW The Renegade (Rick Williams) was released from WCW, Shortly after that depressed by being fired he shot himself in the head.

In Warrior's contract with the WWF in 1992 Warrior was given creative control of his bookings. From what we heard and read, Warrior decided to book himself in a feud with a witch doctor named Papa Shango. Shango would cast spells on jobbers he fought making ooz flow out of their boots as well as other things. On one television show, Papa Shango put a spell on Warrior making him throw up. It's considered one of the dumbest angles in WWF's history.
