Good Promotional Items

Looking at getting some promotional items done up for Future Considerations. For those that don't know what that is we're a hockey prospects site with a particular focus on draft eligible players.

Was kicking around the idea of flash drives. I received one many months ago and still use it.

What are some other good ideas? Looking for things that will actually be worth the money and not something that will end up in the garbage after a couple days.

I've searched some online sites but the majority just do the pens, keychains and stress relief ball type ideas.

flash drives seem kinda expensive but that is a great idea. Thinking of an everyday item, and the only thing I could think of thats always in my pocket, that I wouldn't throw away would be lip chap. no one wants more key chains. Although Pens are good to.

Like the idea of a USB stick.

Some others (based on promo items I've actually kept over the years):
- Ice Scraper (depends on when you're handing them out, of course. Not the best timing right now.)
- A computer store in town gave these out and I find myself using it alot.
- CD case
- USB car charger
- Chap stick
- Tools (screwdriver, multitool, tape measure, pocket knife)
- Luggage tags
- bottle opener

For you guys I would look at something like a hockey puck. It fits what you're all about, wouldn't cost too much and is useful.

If you need someone to do the work, let me know - I don't deal in this kind of thing at all, but I know someone who does.

When I worked at an appliance store, the LG rep would hand out pens that also doubled as a USB drive. While they are bigger than regular pens, we all still thought they were awesome.

If you are going to give away USB drives, please don't buy the cheapest model available. I've worked with clients that give away what have to be the cheapest, least reliable flash drives I've ever ever seen. They don't just stop working, which would be a godsend - they silently corrupt data.

Whatever you do, don't give a bag. I have so many bags, it's ridiculous.

Hand sanitizer.

Bottle openers.

Steel business card holders. Have one of these from a conference and it's amazing.

The big metal water bottles. Got a good quality one from Devon that I use all the time at work, even though I work for a direct competitor.

Good quality money clips with room for a couple cards (debit, credit, ID). Have one of these from Oakley and it's all I've carried around for three years.
