LF: Summer Hockey Rec League Player ASAP
I am looking for someone to pick up 1/2 my games for this Summer. I play for the Iron Ringers in the Alberta Summer Hockey League...
http://www.albertasummerhockey.com/s...&Page=Schedule
This is arguably the worst team ever to take to the ice. We were 0-30-2 last summer, and are off to a solid 0-5 start this season. The good news is, if you suck, you will fit right in, and if you are good, you will be greeted like the second coming of Jebus. The cost is $475 for 32 games, so I'd be looking for around 1/2 that for 16 games. You can start as early as our game tomorrow - most games are at Centennial with some at Village Square. PM me or post questions here. Thanks.
P.S. Since the team is mostly 35+, it's probably easier if you are a bit older, though if you get along with oldtimers...

What do you do for jerseys? Is that included in the cost? Or is it just bring a spare white and black one sorta deal?

We have home & away. I believe the captain has an extra set; if not, you share mine.

Sounds good. Hopefully I can commit by the end of today. If someone else gives you the cash before I do, no biggie.

Half shield is mandatory? Really? I play in div 3 and I've never heard of that rule. Half our guys don't wear them. Is that a team thing?

Yeah, you're confusing leagues. I just read it, and facial protestors are recommended but not required. And you call yourself a lawyer? Yeesh. You're not supposed to make mistakes like this.
That's important to know though, because SOME people are whiny and won't play if they're required. At least on my team of NHL all stars....

I think I'll have to pass. My wife and I are expecting our first in a few weeks. With the new baby and already playing on one team full time, two might be just too much (even if it is part-time).
Sorry to flip flop on yah. Enjoy the season.

One would have thought a new baby would have been a reason to stay away from the house... to each their own. Anyone else able to help me out? This is your chance to feel like a star...
