It's sad that I only know her work with Muppets. RIP.

She was a trail blazer in the music world, broke the color barriers in music and life and had a voice that could completely capture an audience. And she was a completely gracious person, inside and out.

In the mid 1980's, she did a series of interviews, I forget with which station, but I am sure they would be on YouTube somewhere. I found them very interesting to listen to.
