What is your browser and why?
I know it's been talked about here and there in different threads, but never really in depth. I'm wondering about the different browsers.
I've read the reviews but wondering what people use and why. I've always used Internet Explorer just because...well, just because I always have, I guess. It was with me since Windows 3.1 so I suppose it's just a comfort factor.
Lot's of people like Google Chrome but as soon as I hear it I think of that irritating Google Toolbar that gets slipped in with all sorts of programs.
Anyway, what's best?

Firefox used to win on mouse gestures alone. Now using a MacBook with multi-touch it doesn't really matter (3 finger swipe for forward and back) but I found Firefox to never run into problems rendering a site where as Safari wasn't always 100%.
I hate the fact that on a browser you are always moving your mouse back and forth across the whole screen to navigate. Mouse gestures/multi touch are the greatest browser innovation in a long time.

Firefox started taking up way too much memory, to the point where I would have to kill it through "end task" and re-start.
Now I'm on Opera and although I'm still getting used to it, it's been mostly smooth-sailing.
IE I use sparingly.

I use Chrome. I like the clean look, and the start up screen with big icons for my most visited websites.

I use Chrome because it has all the extensions I need ( adblock included) plus it is fast. Also, it seamlessly syncs bookmarks between all my computers.

I use safari. Firefox was my old browser, but I found it was really slow with loading.

Firefox.
Safari likes to crap out when GIFS are posted and Opera not only doesn't see some pages like sportsnet.ca but it crashes a lot.

Had an idea!

Firefox.
I find it to be faster than Chrome and more stable.

IE because no matter how many directions off the internet I follow, I can't get rid of that dumb-arse fast browser search thing....Any ideas?

Opera.
Used to use Firefox with noscript and adblock then I moved onto Chrome since it was a lot faster, but after reading the Opera thread on CP, I changed from Chrome to Opera and never looked back.

Firefox. Switched over from Internet Explorer because it's so much faster.

Firefox on PCs - I will not use IE.
Safari on my Mac, though, despite animated GIFs sometimes killing it. FireFox is just too slow on this thing.
