Default Man 'beats' Bejeweled 2 after 2,200 hours playing

Skinna-marinky-linky-link

The 56-year-old from California spent 2,205 hours--"the equivalent of playing for eight hours a day, five days a week, for an entire year" -- over the past three years playing his favorite game, Bejeweled 2. In that time, he accumulated the game's highest allowable score, 4,872,229 gems, to "beat" it.
Wow, if you told me a guy went on line and spent the equivalent of one work year beating something, I. . . . well, I wouldn't have guessed it was Bejeweled 2.

Congratulations, sir, on not having:

(a) a family;
(b) a respectable online addiction, like furry porn;
(c) adequate vitamin D;
(d) an ability to contribute meaningfully to conversations with regular people;
(e) the ability to walk to the fridge without getting winded;
(f) a practical working knowledge of the female anatomy;
. . . .

Bejewelled sucks anyway. Zookeeper is where it's at!

The guy's 56 years old in California. Maybe he's rich and recently retired.

8 hours a day, 5 days a week sounds like a typical office job to me. I've heard of lots of people having to find something to fill their days with for the first few months or years after retirement.

Don't get me wrong, I think the guy's wacko for staying interested in that game for that long... but it shows commitment, I guess.

...either that, or the early signs of being committed...

Why the hell would you play Bejeweled? Idiot, he should have been playing WoW, then he can sell his account for $40,000 to the Koreans.

He only played 2 hours/day. Not even close to the amount of time people put into their WOW account.

This story would have been cooler if he played Police Quest for that long instead.
