Rick Nash and Mikko Koivu finally decide to show up and it was just in the nick of time. Ryan Miller stood on his head as well, stopping 34 of 35 shots for possibly his best performance of the year.
That was a heck of a series with no team winning more than one game in a row...it was close and came down to 5min left in the 3rd period when the Habs took a two goal lead. The Pens did everything they could, firing 17 shots on Miller in the 3rd period but he stood tall.
The Habs are thrilled to win their first playoff series in 3 years and are looking forward to taking on the Washington Capitals now. Although we are going to have to be better...some players really underperformed in this series.

Congrats to the Habs for advancing and for the Pens for making it to the playoffs and pushing Montreal to 7 games.
With the result, it means that the Thrashers will be playing the Ottawa Senators in round 2! Should be a good series!

Congrats to the Habs for moving on, they have definitely been the top team all year round. Have to feel bad for Goffie in this one, year after year he has stellar teams that have failed to win anything.

Congrats to Curtis for moving on...We knew we were in tough when we saw this matchup. It was fun to take the top team in the league to 7 but too bad we couldn't pull off the upset.

I'm still surprised that a team as deep as the pens are that they finished 8th.
