Default KFC's new sandwich not available in Canada

But while the buildup to Monday’s DD debut “generated more buzz than any test market item in KFC history,” according to the U.S. company, KFC Canada isn’t biting.
“It is not going to be launched in Canada,” said a spokesman here. “KFC Canada is a very separate company” with the philosophy of “let them test it first and see how it is doing.”

It has the same number of calories as a Big Mac, which I suspect is allowed in Canada.

Its not that big of deal; it just SEEMS over the top.

Yeah, looking at it now, it doesn't seem to be too over the top. Although, it does have your total recommended daily intake of sodium in it.

Have any of you guys eaten a baconator?
That thing has triple the calories and fat, and double the sodium of the KFC DD.

The baconator has been around for at least a year, and yet no one complains about how much of a heart-attack-instigator it is.

Enjoy your longer, and obviously sadder, lives. I'll be making all my sandwiches out of fried chicken bread from here on out.

We go to the annual Sept soccer tournament in Whitefish and our team for some reason thought it would be funny to have the Baconator combo for each meal while we were down there. I don't know if I've ever fully recovered and it was two years ago.

How hard could it be to possibly make.

Chicken breast + cheese + bacon + chicken breast

Wow, it only took one post before the health nazzis appeared.

I'm going to get 2 triple baconators, a large coke and a large fries for lunch. 3510 calories of happiness in one sitting.

lol. Someone in the comments pointed out what should have been obvious: The double down is basically just chicken cordon bleu.

Please. It's no worse for you than eating an order of chicken strips with a sugary dipping sauce.

http://www.kfc.com/nutrition/pdf/kfc_nutrition.pdf

The regular version 540 calories with 53 grams of protein.

The grilled version 460 calories and 61 grams of protein...

If you ate nothing but grilled double downs you would probably lose a lot of healthy weight. A shame this thing is not being brought to Canada, I really wanted to try it out. Looks like I will have to wait until I go to the States

There are much much worse things you can put in your body if you're eating out. I bet most restaurants have several items that have more sodium or calories. I would have tried this sandwich. Shame KFC Canada isn't bringing it here yet ... probably would have been the first time I'd set foot in a KFC in years.

Who needs this monstrocity? If you really want something that unhealthy, you can concoct something worse at home. Let's keep the fat in the US.
