Details.

Chris had a real raw voice, one that really caught your ear. His covers of Bruce Springsteen's "Tougher Than The Rest" and Tom Cochrane's "Life Is A Highway" seemed grittier and more desperate than the originals.

And, of course, he sang "Calgary" in a tribute to our Stampede.

RIP, Cowboy.

Obituary in today's Herald

The Stampede rodeo held a special place in LeDoux's heart.

"Calgary was one of my favourite rodeos," he told the Herald in 1998. "I never won it, but I placed pretty good a few times. Through the last time I was there I think I winded up hanging up and dragging around the arena."
