TORONTO - A man accused of trying to buy a child online allegedly offered to pay generously for one as "young as possible" during an Internet chat presented as evidence Wednesday at his detention hearing.
Patrick Molesti, a French fugitive who fled the United States for Canada to escape child exploitation charges, was ordered to remain in the northwestern Ontario jail where he's been held since Friday.
