Default 30th Birthday: (Challenge - Kids)

So we had an idea of what we were going to do for my upcoming 30th birthday celebration on Saturday, but the plans fell through, due to it not being 'Family Friendly'.

There's going to be about 20 or so adults, and about 5-6 children, Saturday afternoon. Looking for something where we can still have a few beverages, and still have something interesting to keep the tykes occupied.

Kicking, punching, feeding drinks, etc are all things that have been considered to do with the children, but we're thinking of actually having fun.

Any ideas?

I'm actually thinking it'd be funny to go to Chuck E. Cheese, if they serve alchohol.

PS - We're planning to drink it up at night when the little ones are in bed, so that part is covered.

My friends threw me a wake on my 30th, they made me lie in a coffin while they made speeches about me (That were not really nice) and served me drinks.

I guess you can't do that with kids.

That explains a lot.

I don't think I'd want to do this... kids or no kids.

I used to work at Chucks 15 years ago. I always remembered we served beer (used to hook my buddies up with free jugs all the time), but I totally forgot we also served wine. Lol

I miss Bullwinkles.

Maybe it's the glowing false memories of my youth, but that place was great. It put stupid Chuck-E-Cheese to shame.

30 with kids, is this 1980? my 30th is in July - going to Banff to golf and misremember the weekend.

I have nothing really to add to help your situation.

Could you do some geo-caching? Organize something around some part of town, each store/bar you have to buy or drink something. Every team meets up at the end, and each group has all of the assorted items for the final party.

Where do the kids come into the picture here? Keep in mind, they're still at the age where it's a pain in the ass to get them in and out of their car seats.

What about callaway park? IIRC you can get beer there, and that's an okay time for adults too. Depends how old the kidlings are, I guess.

Hrmmmm... I'd say, hire a couple babysitters and do whatever you want! Seriously, though, why not?

Personally, I'm hoping for Vegas for my 30th and am planning to leave the kid(s?) with grandparents for the weekend.

Kids are easy:

"Hey there Jimmy, now tell me, does this rag smell like chloroform to you? It does? Alright then, you have a nap and daddy's gonna go get loaded."

For the record, I dont have nor condone the possession of; children. Big surprise.
