Default iPhone contract questions (opinions wanted)

Hey everyone, just got off the phone with my current cell provider (bell), they're offering me this: unlimited texting, 200 anytime mins, 500 mb data and my normal minute package (which i think is free evening/wknds or 1000 of them, I can't remember) for 57.20 a month.

Should I take it or jump ship to another company (I personally haven't had any issues with Bell's service).

Any opinions would be welcomed.

Pretty standard offer IMO.

You can do the standard "RFD" or "HoFo" approach - Get that deal documented, then call back and hammer away for something else (more minutes, less cost, etc), then get that documented (always getting a reference number) then call back again and do the same until you've chiseled away to the best deal you can. I would expect you could get down to $50ish a month with the above, but I am not a hardcore chiseler, as I call those on RFD and HoFo...

make sure you check about visual voicemail for iphone, seomtimes they charge extra for that. you'll want that, it's a pretty decent feature, but that is a pretty meh plan, you could get something similar from any of the others.

Yeah it's a pretty average plan. Last I heard, Bell is crappy with negotiating. Heard Telus is pretty good. Rogers is a hit and miss.

Bell is pissing me off right now.

I stupidly signed a 3 year contract with SOLO mobile and wanted to move to Bell to use an iPhone.

Apparently they don't migrate across the two companies despite Bell owning SOLO. I'm forced to drop $300 to cancel my existing contract.

Such horse-bullox.

Wind has unlimited voice for $35 and unlimited data for $35. They have other plans as well, but I don't remember the cost. They charge more for roaming, but if you don't plan on using your phone outside the city it is no big deal.

I guess they don't! This is why people with Blackberry's should not answer questions about iPhones.

The good news though, is you just made me realize that Wind now has the 9700... Hmm... I do miss my Berry.
