I'm a Banker
Hi everyone,
I've been doing personal, agriculture, and some light commercial lending for about six years now. The variety of deals from city based to country based have given me lots of exposure to unique approaches to unique deals that places might not be able to fit into their box. As we do the underwriting for our deals ourselves, and we don't have an automatic approval system, we have a lot of control over our own approvals or declines that some larger places don't. The Credit Union I work for is called Mountain View Credit Union and we are based in central Alberta.
So I've created this thread as a catch all to answer any lending related questions and to let the forum know I can be used as a resource.
I will also post any specials we are running in this original post. I hope that's okay given the years I've been posting (if a mod has an issue however, please let me know).
Current special: HELOCs at 3% (floating) for 1 year and then our Prime + 0.5% thereafter attached to a free chequing account to mirror an all inclusive account offered at places like Manulife. Maximum LTV at 75% all in a HELOC for more urban areas and an LTV of 65% in a HELOC for more rural and very small town areas.
