Kinda of a newbie beginner stream going on, might be good for those who are unfamilar with the game.

Theres going to be such a saturation of streams/youtubes/media whatever the hell in the next lil bit. Should be incredible.

I didn't get an email at first, but turns out my friend got 2. One from blizzcon and one from the random draw.

SC2 is amazing. Damn, I'm getting it as soon as its released.

That's BS considering SC 2 is basically SC 1 with graphic upgrade some new units and buildings.

Bumping this semi-old thread, was wondering if any CP members on here have the beta, and if so, would be willing to sell it?

A buddy has the beta and I've been playing on it off and and on. Its tons of fun, and I want an account for myself. Dont want to go on ebay as I dont really trust it and I'd rather do a face to face deal so I know the seller isn't gonna screw me over. If so, please PM me.

EDIT - I'm not gonna pay some crazy high amount. I realize that perhaps you could get more on ebay, though its no longer going for as high as a rate as it used to as more and more people are being let in through the multiple waves. This is more for those who got the beta, played it, and dont really enjoy it, maybe WoW guys or something and want to unload it for some cash. No biggie either way. Just dont PM and expect $300.

looks like may 1st or there abouts, but paying for a beta key, that wil be useless in a month and half ( if that long ) is a complete waste of money..... I want a key as well.....but forking out cash on something they are going to void soon..i'll pass

They are expecting a summer release at the earliest, so around June/July, which is at minimum still 3-4 months, but honestly, this is Blizzard, it could easily be delayed until something like Winter.

As for the money being a waste? Who's to say what I choose to spend my money on is a waste? The enjoyment I derive from playing the game early is worth the cash I would spend to play, I never understand the 'its a complete waste of money' train of thought.

Beta started on February 17th and is expected to last 3-5 months which gives a release window of probably June-August somewhere.

Also, I think it is highly unlikely that it would be delayed again at this point. The reason I think this is that it was stated last year that Starcraft 2 itself was done in the fall but that development on the new Battle.net multiplayer platform was taking longer than expected and that was what was holding back release of the game.

I think you will see SC2 in Summer 2010 and Diablo 3 in Summer 2011.

I'm not as wound up about this as many people.

I didn't enjoy Warcraft III anywhere near as much as Warcraft II. So I doubt I'll enjoy Starcraft II as much as Starcraft. Once burned, twice shy.

as per how you spend your money i don't give a crap...just seems odd to me spending a few hundred on a beta that won't work in a month 1/2 for a game that sells for $69.00
