I'm trying to find that lighting that appears to be on a string. Working on my kitchen ceiling and thinking about using those as a solution. I'll post an image of what I'm working with when home - but trying to find the stuff through home depot or rona online and having no luck.
It looks like a string/rope/track from one side of the room to the other with lights along, not secured on the ceiling, or maybe in a few spots. It almost looks like the lights get power from where they're attached to the walls.

If so, you can buy them at Ikea. My brother had these in his kitchen. I didn't care for the look of it myself, but I think he liked it.

Thanks - yeah looks kind of what I was thinking about, although don't recall the lower thing that it comes out of being so predominant and obviously stretched out more to cover about 10 feet to 18 feet depending on whether I stretch them lengthwise or width-wise
