I am curious as to the name - I know about 10 people who went there that this could be.

No offense Juice, but that place breeds nut-jobs (or at least, it used to). In high school, you could tell who came from Cross... You could tell.

I refuse to believe it. That school is in the SW. things like this only happen in the SE or NE.

It's in that little slice of the NE-in-the-NW we like to call the "Westbrook Corridor".

Thanks to the government housing project that used to be beside Westbrook Mall, the whole area all the way to Richmond Road is a SW-style ghetto...

Well, right next to it is Little Mogadishu, but I digress.

Calgary tactical team members successfully negotiated with the 25 year-old man, taking him into custody around 4 p.m.
Geez those negotiators must be good. If you are going to go to all the trouble of holding somebody hostage, I'm always surprised somebody can talk you out of it. I mean, the fact that you are actually holding somebody hostage seems like you have officially crossed the line into not giving a frack. Why are you going to let some flat foot talk you out of it?

What a wuss.

I remember reading an article about how well the Calgary Tac team is regarded by their professional peers around the country. It mentioned that Calgary has superior negotiators and how the force really stresses that violence is only the last resort, and that they will always prefer to talk the situation down, rather than going in

Hey leave the SE out of your stereotypes. This definitely has NW written all over it.

Since we're talking in stereotypes, How does this have middle class Asian written all over it?

We're talking about AE Cross. This definitely has SE trailer park written all over it.
